FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Custom stationery is completely unique and crafted exclusively for you, not chosen from a pre-made template or an existing online design. It’s a one-of-a-kind creation that reflects your personality, story, and style. Working closely with a designer (that’s me!), you’ll collaborate on every detail to bring your vision to life and create something truly special and personal.
You should plan to reach out to your stationer at least 9 months prior to your wedding, if not sooner. If you’re planning on sending out save the dates to your guests, please plan to inquire at least 12 months prior. A good rule of thumb: inquire as soon as you have a date set!
That being said, my schedule books up pretty fast, and dates go quickly! If you’re interested, please get in touch soon so we can find a spot that works for you.
We typically start the design process about 6 months prior to your wedding invitations. This leaves us ample time for edits, envelope proofing, upgraded print methods, and assembly.
Save the dates and other stationery items have a different turnaround time and timelines are also sent specifically for each design process (ie. save the dates, bridal shower invitations, day-of stationery + signage).
Save the Dates are best sent 9–12 months before your wedding day. The exact timing can vary depending on your venue location and how many guests will be traveling from out of town.
Wedding invitations are typically mailed 10–12 weeks before the big day — or a little earlier if you’d like to stay ahead of the ever-unpredictable mail system!
Along with custom wedding invitations, I create a variety of coordinating stationery and signage, from save the dates and shower invitations to programs, menus, place cards, signage (large-scale too!), and thank you cards. Have something specific in mind? Don’t hesitate to ask — I love bringing unique ideas to life!
I also offer small business branding services. If you’re looking for something particular, please reach out! I’d love to chat about your vision.
No worries whatsoever! I’ve handled many out-of-state clients and am able to work through my process just as easy as if they were in Pittsburgh. Please, please don’t hesitate to reach out, even if you are not from the Pittsburgh area or getting married in the Pittsburgh area.
At this time, I am not offering any type of wedding rentals. I am always happy to include/help you source items like table number holders, stands, etc. Always inquire with your planner and/or venue about rentals as well - more often than not, they have a variety of offerings!
Every piece of stationery I design is completely custom and designed just for you. Costs depend on details like paper, envelopes, and special touches. Head over to the inquiry page so that we can get started on your custom proposal!
Every wedding is different, but most couples spend around $2,500–$6,000 on their invitations (not including other stationery items like save the dates, shower invitations, or other day-of stationery items). I provide detailed, transparent quotes so you can see exactly what you’re investing in. You’ll always know the pricing upfront, and I’ll keep you informed of any updates throughout the process.
